The Three,000-feet-wide asteroid, 2014-YB35 is passing Earth today - but is within no danger of striking us.
Despite what rumour-mongers Before Its News suggest, the asteroid 2014-YB35 wont eliminate existence as you may know it.
Neither is NASA on high alert.
Actually, it is not even that close its likely to sail past Earth 11.6 lunar distances away. Thats 2.8 million miles.
It arrived at its nearest point at 6.21AM today, and it is now flying on into space.

Its far even further away compared to last near-miss asteroid in The month of january - although its still close enough to provide researchers an excellent view.
The area rock continues to be observed by researchers in the Goldstone Observatory in Californias Mojave Desert, hoping being familiar with its composition.

The stress sparked by Before Its News briefly spread onto other, more legitimate news sites - before other conspiracy websites chimed directly into explain it had been rubbish.
